All eyes on Akshaye Khanna

Two of India's major newspapers have covered Gandhi--My Father this week (see below), something not achieved by standard Bollywood fare. Something tells me that the buzz around the film is building up. Whatever be its ultiamte commercial fate, this is one epochal movie event waiting to happen. Whatever be the commercial viability as a star, this movie should establish, once and for all, Akshaye's status as one of the major actors in Indian cinema or world cinema for that matter.

Hey, it seems that there are lots and more of talks and promotion about Akshaye Khanna's Gandhi, My Father than Abhishek Bachchan's GURU even before the release! GURU was the talk of the town after its release and hopefully, Gandhi, My Father be the talk of the town and India very soon especially after its release!

Now, Akshaye Khanna has got his deserved status which he should have got when his outstanding performance was revealed in Dil Chahta Hai! Akshaye Khanna's performance as supporting actor was better than Amir Khan (the main actor) and Saif Ali Khan (the comedian)! But, it was Amir Khan and Saif Ali Khan who were approached by some better banners like Yash Raj Films (Kal Ho Na Ho, Hum Tum, Fanaa, Salaam Namaste, ...). Akshaye Khanna deserved to be signed by YashRaj Films, Vishal Bharadwaj for Omkara, Karan Johar/Nikhil Advani for Kal Ho Naa Ho, Kunal Kholi for Hum Tum and Fanaa,....) Just imagine Akshaye Khanna doing Hum Tum, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Fanaa, Omkara...instead of Amir Khan and Saif Ali Khan!

Yep, I can imagine of Akshaye Khanna doing Kal Ho Naa Ho, Fanaa, Omkara,...Akshaye Khanna has always looked different in each movie of his in terms of his look and hairstyle, like in Himalay Putra, Taal, Dil Chahta Hai, Humraaz, Deewangee, Hungama, Hulchul, Shaadi Se Pehle, 36, China Town, Aap Ki Khatir, Salaam-e-Ishq, Naqaab, Gandhi, My Father...). So, it means that Akshaye Khanna can spot a different look for the role of Saif Ali Khan in Omkara and Amir Khan in Fanaa! What if Akshaye Khanna build up his body and his look for these two movies! What if the director Vishal Bharadwaj asks Akshaye Khanna to spot that villaineous look instead of asking Saif Ali Khan in Omkara! I'm sure that Akshaye Khanna would look more devilish than Saif Ali Khan in Omkara especially if he does body building and preparation for this negative look with his bald look!

And yes, I had asked you to post some videos of Himalay Putra here!!?? Why delay?? Didn't you find it? This film Himalay Putra (VCD/DVD) is not available in the market! And, I want to watch it again here as it is Akshaye Khanna's debut film in 1997!

Hi, can you post some songs videos of Himalay Putra? N some pics of this movie too?

You can get some songs of Himalay Putra to listen on Internet. It would be better if the songs of the films posted here are played on along with its visual (Akshaye Khanna, Anjala Zaveri...)!
