Only 3 days left for MBPA...
I hope my instincts are wrong about MBPA. Images I've seen so far suggest to me the movie might be more silly than funny, garish rather than colorful. Looks like the kind of thing Govinda & Shakti Kapoor might've done a decade ago. Gulp. Akshaye's had several good films in a row (GANDHI MY FATHER, AAJA NACHLE and the wildly successful RACE). I'd hate to have him trapped in a clunker now. Or ever, for that matter. There does seem to be some good news for the film's commercial prospects, though. At boxofficeindia.com the're saying that the failure of the Bachchan's SARKAR RAJ has tons of exhibitors who'd expected it to run several weeks now planning on dumping the drama this Friday. Result: a huge increase in demand for prints of MBPA. Paving the way for the widest opening ever for an Akshaye solo starrer.Let's keep our fingers crossed that it's a good film AND a box office hit.
