Akshaye should branch out
It's great Akshaye is doing yet another Anil Kapoor movie. I am so grateful to him.
Anil Kapoor, Priyadarshan, Abbas-Mustan, Rajat Jain and now Farhan Aktar.. it's great that Akshaye has a fabulous but limited circle of admirers who trust him and keep coming back to him time after time. But it's also clear that he's being inhibited by this circle. We know the Chopra-Johar camp is closed to him because of some childhood grouses that Adi Chopra and Karan Johar have against him but there must be other filmmakers out there, new and old, who would want to work with him. Or are they all too scared of his reclsuive image?
One thing I noticed though that Akshaye wasn't first choice for many of his projects. He did challenging roles like Humraaz and DCH that no one else would touch and the directors and producers of these movies who first came to Akshaye because of compulsion, kept coming to him again and again because they liked working with him very much. Once they get to work with the real person, the media stereotype of arrogant recluse is shattered and they see how professional and talented actor he is.
That is why Akshaye should be doing more interviews, go out and talk with people more, express his interest, actively seek roles(there's nothing wrong with that), be in the public eye. That way people won't be intimidated by his reputation.
Akshaye should branch out more and do movies with other people too.

I agree with you, Akshayefan. Akshaye Khanna is quite reserved. But, sometimes he does meet and talk to people whenever he can. Yeah, he must be more open.
Are Aditya Chopra and Karan Johar really against Akshaye Khanna? How? I'm confused about this childhood grouses...What do u mean? Did Akshaye Khanna ever mention this? How did u know? Does Akshaye know Adi and Karan since childhood? They aren't of the same age. How come?
Yeah, Akshaye used to ignore Karan Johar when they were kids and Karan still seems to hold some grouse .
Also, I read somewhere that Yash Chopra very much wants Akshaye under their banner but Adi Chopra doesn't. I dunno why. It was Yash Chopra's insistence that got Akshaye into Aaja Nachle.
^From where did you get that news?? I'm unaware about these issues. Karan had invited Akshaye Khanna for Koffee With Karan along with Anil Kapoor. I know that Karan and Adi still ignore Akshaye Khanna's genuine talents. What are the exact reasons for this unnecessary ignorance? Is it because that they don't appreciate him as an actor? Is it that Akshoo not that famous or popular with the general audience? I really want to know the reasons. Akshaye used to ask why don't we ask them reasons for not working with him or casting him in their films. Akshoo has already proved his worth as an actor since Taal. By now, he should have been signed by Johar and Chopra as one of the main leads. Till when, shall we wait for them to cast Akshoo?
