Akshaye signs a multistarrer

After scoring a hat trick with successful films like NO ENTRY, WELCOME and SINGH IS KINNG, Director Anees Bazmee is in heavy demand these days. Many producers have shown their keen interest working with Anees. And one such producer is Anil Kapoor who has roped in Anees to direct his next film. After GANDHI MY FATHER's poor show at the Box–office, the actor turned producer Anil is taking movie production business quite seriously. Since comedy is the flavour of the season Anil has decided to make comedy flicks. And Anees is currently leading the pack among entertainers.

Infact for this single project, Anil has offered Anees a whooping amount of Rs. 15 crore and already given a signing amount of Rs. 5 crore and 11 Lakhs. If the reports are to believed than this new outing with Anees would be an absolute laugh riot with 4 leading heroes.

Last week, after paying Anees a big sum, the producer and director flew down to Bangkok to sign Sanjay Dutt as one of the leading hero of this comic caper. Sanjay, who is currently shooting for his upcoming film BLUE in Phuket, gave his nod to Anil instantly as he liked the subject very much. Anil's favourite Akshaye Khanna has also been roped in to play one of the leading characters. The film is said to go on the floors by sometime next year. Meanwhile Anil is busy wrapping up his yet another comic outing SHORTKUT directed by PHIR HERA PHERI fame director Neeraj Vora.

Akshaye should do more of these. Since they are multi-starrers, they won't take much of his time and Akshaye won't be blamed too much if the movie bombs.

Come on, AkshayeFan! Think positive!! This film shouldn't bomb! Let's just hope that this film does extremely well at box-office. Akshaye Khanna needs more hits even if this film is a multistarrer!!

Cheers!

Wow, a news about Akshaye Khanna after such a long time! I'm glad that Anees Bazmi will be the director and Akshaye Khanna will be seen again with Sanjay Dutt in Anil Kapoor's Production. I like their chemistry in Deewaar! I hope that this news about this project is true. I hope that it's true that Akshoo has been signed! Yeah, as you say (^) we must "think positive"! All the Best to Akshoo, Anil, Sanjay and Anees! I'm excited about Akshoo in Shortkut! When will it be released?

^Yeah, even I'm so happy about this news. After all, I'm Akshaye Khanna's ardent fan. Still, I think that we must wait for official announcement. It'll be nice if Akshaye Khanna does this film again for Anil Kapoor.

I don't know how far is this news true. Will Akshaye Khanna have time and dates to shoot for Farhan Akhtar's Voice From The Sky, Nikhil Advani's Chand, Neeraj Vohra's One Way Ticket and now Anil Kapoor-Anees Bazmi's next? Akshaye Khanna will be lucky if he signs all the four projects immediately.

People do a lot more movies than that. Four is very less and remember, Chand and One Way Ticket and even this new project are not fully confirmed yet. We have to wait.

I hope Akshaye will do a lot more movies than just these four. This is the right age for him to doa s many movies as he can. After a few years, where will we be if he doesn't?

Agree with you, Akshayefan! I sincerely pray that all the four movies are fully confirmed very soon for Akshaye Khanna. I also hope that Akshoo does more than just four projects. He can also do commercial ads if he wants. Right now, I'm more keen to know about his performance in Shortkut!
