Nishaad is now Garam Hawa

Producer Kumar Mangat Pathak and Ajay Devgn had a title clash for their next, a Priyan film. On Friday night, after a heated discussion between the two, the film was finally christened Garam Hawa.
'Garam Hawa' was apparently Paresh Rawal's suggestion. Paresh says, "Amongst all the titles, Garam Hawa had the strongest impact."

Action time
Priyadarshan says, "Initially, I was a bit sceptical about calling it Garam Hawa. My film has lots of violence and action, and the title needed to carry a strong punch. None but GH suited it best!" Akshaye Khanna echoes the thought.

Kumar Mangat informs us that there were five titles in contention. "We had selected Ardh Satya, Nishaad, Man Maani, Garam Hawa and Isshaq. The film is an action-thriller with tongue-in-cheek humor. I felt people might connect to MS Sathyu's Garam Hawa and remember that film. I liked Man Maani and Isshaq as the film revolves around a love story upon which honour killing and other plots unfold."

Ajay Devgn argues, "How many of this generation would know about MS Sathyu's Garam Hawa and relate to it? Also the film is not a love story but around the honor killing in a village and the two guys, an army and CBI officer who come to investigate it, so Isshaq would give it a different connotation. It's an action-thriller.

Make an impact
'Man Maani' sounds too frivolous and would give the impression of being another emotional comedy. I thought with the right kind of action and visuals, Akshaye and I with guns would make a tremendous impact with the title of Garam Hawa. In fact, we could even have a song in the film based around it."
Akshaye, Paresh and Priyan silently supported Ajay until Mangat reluctantly conceded defeat.

I think Akshaye will rock this movie. I'm liking his look.

"Garam Hawa"?

What does this title means in English?

^ Hmmm...I don't know what "Garam Hawa" means?

Akshaye Khanna's new look suits him better in Garam Hawa. I think that it will be Akshaye Khanna's best performance as he was in Deewangee. It looks like Akshoo is playing a very interesting role in Garam Hawa after Deewangee.

Hey, Akshoo has adopted a gorgeous puppy! Her name is 'Spirit'!!

Akshaye Khanna is missing 'Spirit' Tuesday, February 9, 2010, 9:41 [IST]

It means Hot Air. But unlike the English phrase, it actually has some serious connotations.

Akshaye Khanna out of Race!
10 Feb, 2010 12:00 am

http://movies.indiatimes.com/news-gossip/news/Akshaye-Khanna-out-of-Race/articleshow/5552906.cms

Akshaye Khanna might be Abbas-Mastan’s favorite actor but he is no more a part of their forthcoming film ‘Race 2’. According to previous buzz Abbas-Mastan were supposed to keep him as a surprise package in the film but it seems he is no more a part of the sequel.

It is believed that Akshaye demanded a high price for the film which doesn't match to his market price. So the producers decided to replace Akshaye with some other ‘A’ list actor. The search of an actor who will play the negative lead has begun.

According to a unit hand, directors Abbas-Mastan are finding difficult to get a third lead as no big actor is ready to play second fiddle to Anil Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan who will have strong roles in the sequel.

Apparently John Abraham has been considered to play the negative role but he is yet to confirm. When contacted producer Ramesh Taurani confirmed that Akshaye will not be part of ‘Race 2’. “Yeah we are looking out for a big actor to play a negative role as Akshaye will not be in the sequel. He died in the first part. There are few actors we are in talks with but we haven’t signed any. Anil Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan will be there in the film. ‘Race 2’ will commence in August 2010 and it’s too early to talk about it as of now.”

^ Well, we all know that Akshaye Khanna died in the first part of Race. So, it's not possible that Akshoo could be back alive in Race 2.

However, Race 2 won't rock without Akshoo in this sequel. Akshoo was absolutely a delight treat to watch in Race. He was the show stealer in Race as well as he was in Humraaz.

No matter which big actor who will be approached to play a negative role, he won't be able to make difference in the sequel and won't be able to make a big impact the way Akshoo did in Race.

Race 2 with Saif Ali Khan and Anil Kapoor - without Akshaye Khanna would be boring! Race 2 needs a true chamaleon actor like Akshaye Khanna! Akshoo is the best anti-hero of Bollywood! No one can't replace him!

Some of my friends had once told me that 4th April is Akshaye Khanna's bitrhday.

Well, I'm not sure about Akshoo's bithday date...

Do u know about it, Akshayefan?
Which date do u think...
28/03 or 04/04?

When is exactly Akshaye Khanna's birthday?

Looks like bobby deol is in thank you and not akshaye khanna

Anonymous said...

Yeah, I'm glad that Akshaye Khanna is not in Thank You. It would not be good if Akshoo does another movie with Akki just after Tees Maar Khan. It would not be too welcoming too soon. It would be better if Akshoo does a film with Sonam Kapoor much later.

Well, good that Akshaye Khanna is not in Anees Bazmee's next titled Thank You. I guess that there is no great role for Akshaye Khanna in this film. He has already done too much of comedies recently. He needs a break now. After his superlative and exceptional performances in Salaam-e-Ishq, Gandhi-My Father and Race he must now take his brilliant acting prowess in another level. I hope that he gets different projects with unusual themes.

Anonymous said...

^Yeah, I agree with you. It's time for Akshaye Khanna to take his career and talent in an "another level" and more seriously.

I don't think that Akshaye Khanna was ever offered the role in Thank You. May be, people were being confused post his confirmation of his presence in Tees Maar Khan which also stars Akshay Kumar.

Garam Hawa is now titled AAKROSH, which truly reflects the gritty crime drama that is about to unfold for us Akshaye fans on August 13th this year!
